

If you're using a GTK2-based desktop (e.g. Have not had a chance yet to test for stability or anything like this, but the stock firefox was crashing 3-4 times a day, so I doubt that the GTK2 version could do much worse. The package compilation time is fairly lengthy, but the first thing I noticed was how fast the GTK2 AUR version is compared to the GTK3 one in Extra.

Downgrading GTK seems like a pain - has anyone come up with an alternative interim solution?Įdit: An immediate solution is to install firefox-gtk2 from AUR. I'm using GTK 2 Mate and have kept everything as generic as possible.

After the most recent GTK update text hightlighting and drag and drop no longer work properly in firefox, even using the default theme.
